In Monday's edition of the Today Show on NBC TV, there was a feature concerning IVF and a lab error. A couple had been implanted with the wrong embryo and the wife was carrying someone else's child, a child she will have to give up after it is born.



Although it is impossible to totally eliminate human error from the process, halachic supervision is required because of errors such as these. Halachic supervision pioneered by Puah reduces the risk of human error to levels near zero. An independent pair of eyes is crucial to the process.
